In Chinese

The first page of a chinese translation of the Burda. It contains the first line and the meter it is to be recited in! SubhanAllah.

Thank you! That was absolutely beautiful! I am just stunned at the spiritual beauty of the Arabic and Chinese scripts, and how they complement one another so finely. They bespeak the Presence of the Divine in their very characters.
This reminds me, there is a wonderful book on Chinese Sufism by Murata, a Japanese Muslim Professor of Religious Studies. It's called "Chinese Gleams of Sufi Light".

What's scary is that, having lived in S'pore for 2+ years now (where Mandarin subtitles appear on almost all TV programs and movies), I understand a number of the symbols - and I don't know Chinese that well! :)

SubhanAllah,
Isnt that something. Two of my most favourite calligraphic scripts everr in the whole world - both rendering the blessed Burdah into a tangible existance.
